Write a Letter to the Editor
Elections are often fought and won in the pages of our local newspapers. We need your help in launching a sustained, pro-Democratic letter writing campaign to counter the many unfounded Republican charges against our Democratic leaders in Congress and the Statehouse.
Here are some tips when writing a letter to the editor:
-Papers generally ask that you limit letters to 250 words.
-Letters must be signed, and must include the author's full name, address (both residential and mailing, if different) and telephone number, only to verify who you are. Anonymous letters will not be printed.
-To get ideas, respond directly to an article, editorial, column or letter you read.
- Keep it simple. You don't need to be a policy expert to get
published - just read some of the Republican letters out there!
