Maine Democratic Party Mourns the Passing of Representative John Tuttle

Following the the passing of the Honorable John Tuttle (D-Sanford), Maine Democratic Party Chair Drew Gattine, issued the following statement:

“I was lucky enough to serve with Representative John Tuttle in the legislature. He fought hard for his constituents and for the issues he cared about. His passing is a great loss to our state. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”

A stalwart public servant, Tuttle devoted nearly three decades to representing his community. He was elected twelve times to the Maine State House, three times to the Maine State Senate, and also served as a Sanford city councilor. A former emergency medical technician (EMT), Representative Tuttle frequently prioritized measures to support Maine hospitals and veterans.
