“Austin Theriault is used to doing the bidding of his corporate sponsors, and now he is being bought and paid for by national GOP special interests including Mike Johnson’s leadership PAC. Washington Republicans know that Austin will walk the party line and be a rubber stamp for their policies to hurt Maine workers and families, including their extreme anti-choice agenda to ban abortion nationwide.
“Despite delivering nothing and blocking bipartisan compromise, the House GOP thinks they should be rewarded with another empty suit in Congress who will help them give more handouts to corporations and the ultra-wealthy at the expense of middle-class Mainers, rip away healthcare savings for Maine seniors, and end investments in domestic manufacturing that are creating good-paying American jobs.
“Mainers deserve to have a leader in Congress like Jared Golden who will stand up to fight for them and their families, not someone like Austin Theriault who will bow down to Party bosses and special interest groups.”
