Maine Democrats Lead the Way on Equal Pay Day

Westbrook, MAINE - Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett issued the following statement on Equal Pay Day:

“Women have to work up until today to make the same amount men made last year. To put it simply, our fight for equality is not over. All women deserve equal pay for equal work, period.

“We are so grateful to have Democrats like Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, House Speaker Sara Gideon, and Majority Leader Erin Herbig who are fighting everyday to make equal pay for equal work a reality for all Mainers. Maine women deserve nothing less.”
