Collins has refused to say whether she’s voting for Trump for the last 610 days

In an interview with Fox News earlier today, Donald Trump said he “should win the state of Maine,” but didn’t reveal whether he thinks he’ll have Senator Susan Collins’ vote. Collins has spent the last 610 days refusing to be honest with Mainers about whether she supports Trump's reelection, but as the President turns his eye to Maine, that question will only get harder for her to dodge.

Just last week, Trump said that Republican Senators who don’t actively support him are “gonna lose their elections,” but Collins didn’t say whether she thought the president’s prediction spelled doom for her campaign.

Collins has bent over backwards to avoid discussions of her presidential vote, using a series of excuses that don’t “add up” in an attempt to explain away the simple truth: she’s made a political calculation that she’s better off deceiving Mainers than telling the truth about her support for Trump.

Luckily for Mainers, Collins’ record speaks for itself — according to CQ, she voted with Trump 94% of the time. She was a key vote to pass the GOP tax giveaway and voted to confirm every single one of Trump’s judicial nominees in the first two years of his term. It’s no wonder that Trump said he’s “100%” behind her reelection -- he knows she’s all in on his agenda.
