Collins voted for every Trump judicial nominee in 2017 and 2018, helping Senate Republicans remake the federal judiciary to try to overturn Roe v. Wade
Senator Susan Collins has voted to confirm 96% of President Trump’s judicial nominees, including dozens of anti-choice judges who pose a threat to Maine women’s health and rights, and many more who hold views harmful to Mainers on issues ranging from labor rights to environmental protections to equality for LGBTQ Americans. Collins has voted for numerous judges rated “Not Qualified” by the American Bar Association, and earlier this year she even voted to grant a lifetime judicial seat to a nominee with past writings blaming rape victims for their assaults.
Senator Collins voted for every single one of President Trump’s judicial nominees in 2017 and 2018, voting in lockstep with Mitch McConnell to stack the courts with a slate of hardline judges who “will impact courts for decades” with their uncompromising views on women’s health, civil rights, and more.
