Mills Again Commands the Issues and the Stage in Final Debate of the Election

Westbrook, MAINE - Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett issued the following statement after the final gubernatorial debate of the 2018 election:

“Janet Mills demonstrated to Mainers that she is the best, most-qualified candidate in this race—just as she’s done every day of this campaign. She’s ready to get to work to make health care more accessible and affordable, to increase public education funding, lower property taxes, and build an economy that works for all Mainers.

“Her opponents, though, were never able to show that they have a command of the issues or that they’re ready to show up on 'day one' with solutions to the problems that Mainers are facing in their lives every day. We need a new direction in Maine, and that’s why we need Janet Mills.”
