Last weekend on the anniversary of Susan Collins’ decision to support Brett Kavanaugh, the Maine Democratic Party launched a new campaign designed to activate grassroots supporters in the fight to #DefeatCollins.

The campaign kicked off with the launch of #DefeatCollins on social media and DefeatCollins.com, which highlights Susan Collins’ record of letting voters down and siding with the Trump Administration on a wide range of issues, including Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. The Maine Democratic Party also began running digital advertisements to connect grassroots supporters looking to get involved in the fight to #DefeatCollins.

As Mainers reconsider their support for Susan Collins, protesters rallied at the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., including Maine Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Marra and several Maine activists:

“Maine Democrats came out to the event wearing t-shirts hitting Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine.) over her Kavanaugh vote. The shirts with an illustration of Collins's face read “often disappointed, always disappointing." The Hill’s Rebecca Klar
