In response to the Women for Trump Bus Tour stopping in Maine this week, Maine Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Marra released the following statement:
“One bus tour through our state can’t fix Trump’s appalling record with Maine women. Trump has shown his contempt for women time and again, including his dangerous attempts to eliminate the Affordable Care Act which would strip health care coverage from tens of thousands of Maine women and bring us back to a time when being a woman itself was considered a pre-existing condition, his relentless attacks on reproductive rights, and his cruel regulations threatening to silence survivors of sexual assault and endanger vulnerable students. Trump’s presidency has been nothing short of disaster for women, and this November, we’re going to vote him out.
