Following news of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, Maine Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Marra released the following statement:
“Justice Ginsburg was a giant in the fight for a more just and equitable society and we are devastated to learn of her passing. We extend our deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones tonight. First as a litigator and advocate for women’s rights, and later as a Supreme Court Justice she transformed our legal system for the better. I hope that we can honor her memory by working together for a more equitable future for all Americans.”
