The Democratic State Committee (DSC) will elect one member to the Finance Committee at the DSC’s virtual meeting on January 30, 2022. Any Democrat can run for this position! Keep reading to find out how.
The Finance Committee provides oversight of the finances of the Maine Democratic Party. They review and recommend the Party’s annual budget, review reports on income and expenditures provided by the Finance Director, and review internal controls, compliance procedures, and other financial matters, such as insurance. Regular meetings occur monthly, with several special meetings each year, typically clustered around budget preparation in the fall.
