The 2022 Maine Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Deputy Data Director for our statewide program. The ME Coordinated Campaign will play a critical role in re-electing Governor Janet Mills, Congressman Jared Golden, Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, and other Democratic candidates.

Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Support the Coordinated Campaign Data Director in day-to-day management of users and committees in Votebuilder
  • Implement systems for access to and data sharing within Votebuilder for all user types, including county and municipal parties and candidates for office
  • Develop and present Votebuilder training materials to the Organizing Team in statewide, small group and one-on-one settings
  • Track and disseminate analysis of voter contact results, early vote and absentee turnout, voter registration, and other data relevant to campaigns and caucuses
  • Manage technology for day-to-day work and special events
  • Support other members of the Data Team to complete projects as necessary

Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Proficiency with Votebuilder, particularly in areas most germane to a campaign environment (e.g., turf-cutting, VPB creation, searches, survey questions, and scripts)
  • A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and implement creative solutions to unique problems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to remain accountable and stay motivated in a remote position
  • One previous cycle of campaign experience or equivalent political experience in an organizing or technical role
  • A high degree of comfort working with large data sets in MS Excel, MS Access, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, and similar software
  • Familiarity with or a curiosity about learning SQL, Python, GIS, or other relevant skills

Salary is dependent on experience and is in the $50,000 - $55,000 range. Generous benefits offered. This position will run through the November 2022 election. The Maine Democratic Party staff is unionized and proud to be represented by IBEW Local Union #1837 for collective bargaining
