In response to Donald Trump returning to Capitol Hill for the first time since he incited his supporters to storm Congress in an attempt to stop the peaceful transition of power, Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake released the following statement:
“Today, Donald Trump returns to Capitol Hill, the site of his failed attempt to overthrow our American Democracy, as a felon convicted for election-related crimes. He has proven that he will do anything to get and hold onto the levers of power and keep enriching himself. We can't give him another chance to destroy our Constitutional order.“
