Maine Ethics Commission Schedules MDP Complaint for Initial Consideration
Augusta, MAINE – The Maine Ethics Commission today informed the Maine Democratic Party (MDP) that it has scheduled for initial consideration MDP’s complaint against the Maine Examiner and the Maine Republican Party.
The initial consideration is scheduled to occur on February 22, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Maine Ethics Commission’s office in Augusta. During the meeting, the Commissioners are expected to decide whether or not to conduct an investigation into the Maine Examiner and the Maine Republican Party.

Afraid of Angering Conservative Base, Moody Edits TV Interview to Hide Criticism of Border Wall
Augusta, MAINE – Republican gubernatorial candidate Shawn Moody has been caught editing an interview he gave earlier this week in which he criticizes President Trump’s proposal to build a wall across the southern border as “controversial” and “expensive”. Moody, who originally made the comments to WAGM-TV, posted the interview to his campaign Facebook page, but when he did so he edited the interview to remove the criticisms, likely knowing that they would be unpopular with the conservative base of the Republican Party.
