Augusta, Maine — Tonight, Hannah Pingree won the second gubernatorial debate of the general election. While Pingree focused on lowering costs and finding solutions, Bobby Charles continued to spread misinformation and avoid answering for his pro-Trump agenda.

Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson released the following statement:

“Hannah Pingree showed Mainers tonight that she is focused on what matters: lowering costs, solving problems, and making Maine a better place to live, work, and raise a family. While Hannah laid out a clear vision for Maine’s future, Bobby Charles continued to lie about his agenda and dodge accountability for his own MAGA positions.

“Mainers are looking for a governor who will be honest, focus on the issues that matter, and deliver results. Tonight, Hannah Pingree made clear that she is the only candidate ready to do that.”
