Hannah Pingree Wins Third Gubernatorial Debate

Portland, Maine — Tonight, Hannah Pingree won the third gubernatorial debate of the general election. While Bobby Charles spent nearly every answer following the Trump playbook of making unsubstantiated attacks and false claims, Hannah presented a forward looking vision for Maine families.

Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson released the following statement:

“It’s clear that Bobby Charles is a desperate and spiraling candidate attempting to change the trajectory of his abysmal campaign. He knows he’s behind in every public poll and has no resources to communicate with voters. So instead, he’s blatantly lying about Hannah Pingree, her family, and her record.

“Hannah Pingree is the leader that Mainers deserve. She has dedicated her career to public service and getting things done for Maine families. While she was helping Mainers, Charles was a DC lobbyist working to enrich defense contractors and large companies. The contrast could not be clearer and on November 3rd, Mainers will turn out to elect Hannah Pingree for governor.”
