HAPPY ANNIVERSARY: 30 Years Since Collins Said She’d Only Serve Two Terms, She’s Running for a Sixth

Augusta, ME – On this day thirty years ago, Susan Collins pledged to Maine voters that she would only serve two terms. Three decades later, she’s running for a third term even after corruption allegations against her surfaced and she voted with Donald Trump 96% of the time.

To mark 30 years of Collins’ broken promises, Misha Linnehan, spokesperson for the Maine Democratic Party, released the following statement:

“After 30 years in Washington, Susan Collins hasn’t just broken her promises to Mainers – she’s made our lives harder, more expensive, and more dangerous, all while she’s enriched herself and her wealthy donors. Collins has overstayed her welcome by almost two decades, and it’s time to finally send her home.”
