Augusta, ME – Today in Maine, Vice President JD Vance praised Susan Collins as a “dear friend” who is doing an “amazing job.” Vance said that he is working so closely with Collins that she has been to his house “half a dozen times” while he has been Vice President.
In reaction to Vance’s comments, spokesperson for the Maine Democratic Party Misha Linnehan made the following statement:
“Donald Trump and JD Vance’s failing agenda has made life harder for Mainers, and Susan Collins has been with them the whole way, as she voted with them 96% of the time. It’s no wonder J.D. Vance thinks his ‘dear friend’ is doing an ‘amazing job’.’”
