In less than six weeks, the coordinated campaign has staffed up and opened 25 offices statewide
Augusta, Maine – With less than 50 days until Election Day, the Maine Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign held a major weekend of action across the state, knocking on 11,000 doors and holding events in 65 towns from Kittery to Machias to Fort Kent in just two days.
Over the weekend, Maine Democrats launched more than 220 canvasses and opened campaign offices in Portland, Bangor, Rockland, Lewiston, and Brunswick. Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Troy Jackson, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Hannah Pingree, Democratic CD-2 nominee Matt Dunlap, and state legislative and local candidates joined volunteers and supporters at events across the state.
The weekend builds on a rapidly growing statewide organizing operation. In less than six weeks, the Maine Democratic coordinated campaign has:
Staffed up to a team of 45
Opened 25 campaign offices across the state
Completed more than 3,400 volunteer shifts

“From Kittery to Fort Kent, Maine Democrats are showing up and putting in the work,” said Maine Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign Director Kayla vanWieringen. “With 50 days to go, our volunteers are knocking doors, talking to their neighbors, and organizing in communities across the state. We’ve built this operation quickly, and we’re going to keep growing it every day between now and Election Day.”
The Maine Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign is organizing statewide to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot ahead of the November 3 election.
