• Maine nurses stopped traffic on Wednesday and wallpapered the front doors of Sen. Susan Collins’ Portland office with posters in protest of funds donated to her by Palantir executives.

• In recent years, leaders at the AI-data company have donated about $113,000 in support of Collins. Given the company’s ties to ICE and defense contracting, the nurses want Collins to denounce the money and MaineHealth to end its Palantir contract. […]

• Palantir’s contract with ICE has been the target of increased scrutiny, with critics questioning whether the data stored from private clients is accessible to federal agencies. […]

• According to public campaign finance records, Collins herself has received nearly $13,000 since last year from four Palantir leaders. In May 2025, an executive donated $100,000 to Pine Tree Results, a super PAC that has been publishing attack ads against Democratic Senate candidate Troy Jackson recently. […]

• Nurses like Meg Sinclair want Collins to denounce the funding and “to donate the money to something that helps. We have a vision for a healthy society, and Palantir does not,” she said.

• It is exhausting having to deal with all the political ads dominating the nightly news and other evening programs — especially the ads for Susan Collins. Outside groups, millionaire donors and the Trump administration are adding tons of cash to her campaign chest.

• Susan Collins is weak and requires dark money to continue doing the bidding for political operatives like “Stronger America” and “Pine Tree Results.” These 501(c)(4) and political action committees received millions of undisclosed investor money for her campaign.

• The Republican leadership clearly fears she can’t win on her own merit. I urge my fellow Mainers to choose power for Maine citizens. Don’t be fooled by the Republican operatives financing the Collins campaign to serve the interests of big-money donors.
