Maine Democratic Party Hires New Press Secretary
Augusta, ME -- This week, the Maine Democratic Party announced the hiring of communications strategist Misha Linnehan. He will serve as Press Secretary.
Misha, who previously worked on the Maine Dems communications team during the 2020 election cycle, is returning to the party after a stint as Senior Communications Associate at J Street. A Maine native, he has also worked previously on Democratic campaigns in New Hampshire and Arizona.

Today, in a Bangor Daily News column, Drew Gattine, Chair of the Maine Democratic Party, rebutted recent claims made by Maine GOP Chair Demi Kouzounas. Kouzounas had criticized Maine’s economic recovery (33rd in the nation according to one metric), apparently ignoring LePage’s record on a similar measure. Under Governor LePage, Maine’s economic recovery ranked 49th following the great recession of 2008.
