NEW REPORT: Susan Collins Has Taken More Money From Private Equity Than Any Other Politician This Year

Augusta, ME – A new report from the Wall Street Journal reveals that Susan Collins is the top recipient of private equity campaign donations during the 2026 cycle. According to the report, Collins has received more than $700,000 from private equity.

In reaction to this report, Maine Democratic Party spokesperson Misha Linnehan released the following statement:

“Susan Collins voted to advance Trump’s massive tax giveaway to the biggest corporations and wealthiest people in the country, and in return those corporations and MAGA billionaires are pouring cash into her campaign. Maine deserves a Senator who will fight for them – not a rubber-stamp for the priorities of out-of-state private equity companies.”
