Six Months Into Iran War, Susan Collins Still Won’t Admit How Much Money She’s Made Off Her Surging Stock Portfolio

Augusta, ME – Today, on the sixth month anniversary of the Iran War, Susan Collins still has not admitted how much money her stock portfolio has made on the Iran War.

In April, after Collins voted five times against resolutions that could have ended the Iran War, it was revealed that Collins and her husband hold up to $115,000 in natural gas stocks which have spiked by thousands since the war began. At the same time, Maine families have been squeezed, paying nearly $600 more in additional gas costs since the beginning of the war.

In response to Collins’ silence, Misha Linnehan, spokesperson for the Maine Democratic Party, released the following statement:

“For the six months of the Iran War, Maine families have felt the squeeze while Susan Collins has cashed in. Maine families deserve to know how much money she’s made as they’ve had to pay more to fill up their tanks.”
