Breaking: Susan Collins Met with Hundreds of Protesters and Boos in First Recent Public Appearance

Augusta, Maine – Susan Collins was booed by dozens of Mainers at a public event in Searsport today — one of her first appearances in Maine since her “pivotal vote” to advance the Republican budget bill that will devastate Maine. According to reports, “as many as 200 people” lined the streets protesting Collins and “officials decided to relocate the ceremony indoors.” Mainers inside called out the “federal budget cuts to health care, food assistance and other services” Collins voted to greenlight.

Collins has faced criticism for refusing to meet with constituents during August recess in a meaningful way.
