Augusta, Maine — Bobby Charles is on audio tape saying he planned on asking his “friend,” Trump border czar Tom Homan, to send ICE agents to Maine polling locations, underscoring his deep MAGA ties and connections.

Charles has repeatedly embraced Trump’s immigration agenda. He has welcomed and invited ICE to Maine and even sold ICE merchandise on his campaign website.

Charles’ ICE comments came shortly after the murder of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford.

Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson:

“Bobby Charles wanted to invite Trump’s ICE agents to Maine in a blatant attempt to intimidate voters. Let’s be clear: Every US citizen registered to vote in the state of Maine can and should participate this November.”
