Augusta, Maine – Yesterday, Donald Trump endorsed Susan Collins for reelection, praising her as a “sane woman” during an event at the White House.

Maine Democratic Party spokesperson Kristi Johnston released the following statement:

“Donald Trump’s endorsement tells Mainers everything they need to know. Susan Collins has repeatedly backed Trump’s extreme agenda and voted with him 96% of the time. From helping pave the way for the overturning of Roe to gutting health care, Collins has been a reliable vote for Trump when it matters most. It’s no surprise he wants her back in the Senate.”
