Portland, Maine – In case you missed it, ahead of the Dobbs anniversary, today the Maine Democratic Party stood in Monument Square in Portland to call out Susan Collins and highlight how the overturn of Roe v. Wade falls squarely on her shoulders.
This comes on the same day the Maine Democratic Party launched a new video and website, CollinsDoomedRoe.com, highlighting Collins’ role and key votes that continue to threaten abortion bans across the country.
From Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson:
“It’s been three years since the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade — a direct consequence of Susan Collins’ decisive vote to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Now, the threat of restrictions on women’s ability to make their own health care decisions still looms in Maine as states across the country continue to ban abortion and courts try to limit and restrict the use of abortion medication nationwide. Make no mistake: the overturning of Roe falls squarely on Susan Collins’ shoulders.”
