“JD Vance proudly endorsing Bobby Charles is yet another clear proof point that Bobby Charles is a far-right MAGA extremist. Charles spent his campaign begging for Donald Trump’s endorsement, and now he has secured the backing of Trump’s number two — leaving no doubt whose agenda he would bring to Maine.

“Mainers across the state are paying the price of the Trump-Vance economy: from high gas prices and grocery costs to soaring health care premiums, Trump’s economic policies — which Bobby Charles unapologetically supports — are hurting Maine families. Charles has spent this campaign pledging allegiance to Trump, not standing up for Maine.

“The two are aligned on more than just an economic agenda. Bobby Charles and JD Vance/Trump are all anti-choice extremists who want politicians making deeply personal decisions about whether and when women can access abortion care. Mainers know better. These decisions belong between a woman and her doctor, not politicians like Bobby Charles.

“JD Vance’s endorsement leaves no doubt about what a Bobby Charles administration would look like: more Trump, more MAGA extremism, and more attacks on Mainers’ freedoms and pocketbooks.

“Mainers deserve a governor who will fight for them — not a Trump-Vance loyalist who will put the MAGA agenda ahead of Maine families.”
