QUICK CLIP: Jonathan Bush Once Again Goes After MaineCare Expansion

Augusta, Maine — Last night, Jonathan Bush delivered a standout moment during the Republican debate, going after the nearly one in three Mainers who rely on MaineCare for their health coverage.

BUSH: “The most attractive on the greatest hits of spending is the expansion of MaineCare to one in three Mainers.”

Jonathan Bush has previously compared Medicaid expansion to Putin bombing schools and said he wants to use AI to kick Mainers off the program, including “people with jobs.” Nearly 400,000 Mainers use MaineCare for their insurance.

MaineCare and rising health care costs remain central issues in this race. Last month, the Maine Democratic Party released a video slamming Republican candidates for their health care policies.
