Senate District 30 is Sophie’s hometown. In 2020, as COVID-19 hit, Sophie decided to run for public office to serve Scarborough in the Maine House. As Scarborough State Representative, she has established a record of substantive, diverse, impactful passage of legislation to meet the needs of our community from climate change, to economic justice, to civil rights, to build a stronger and more sustainable Maine future. Currently in her third term, Sophie offers experienced leadership, thoughtful collaboration, and a strong voice at the table, focused on representing the people of Scarborough & Gorham through the development of sustainable and inclusive policy in Augusta.
