Hannah Pingree Dominates Fundraising Heading Into The Final Stretch

PORTLAND — New filings show that Hannah Pingree outraised Bobby Charles by more than 5-to-1 in the latest and final pre-Election reporting period, bringing in over $670,000 compared to Charles’ $131,000 — who has since had to return about $50,000 of that due to campaign finance laws. The haul reflects the growing enthusiasm behind Pingree’s campaign, with supporters across Maine investing in her vision for the state and helping build momentum heading into Election Day.

Pingree has spent the campaign traveling across Maine and joining canvass launches, rallying volunteers who are ready to knock doors and make their voices heard. That grassroots energy is translating into a significant fundraising advantage as Mainers look for a governor focused on lowering costs and delivering for working families.

Meanwhile, former Maine GOP chairman turned fake Independent Rick Bennett managed to raise just $31,000.

Beyond the impressive raise, Pingree continues to lead in every public poll and dominated on the debate stage, putting her in a strong position heading into the final stretch.

Statement from Maine Democratic Party Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:

“Mainers across the state are making it clear that they’re ready for Hannah Pingree, and this fundraising haul is another sign of the momentum behind her campaign. From canvass launches to communities rallying around her candidacy, Hannah has built a grassroots movement of people who are ready to elect a governor who will fight for them. While her opponents struggle to gain traction, Hannah is bringing Mainers together around a positive vision for the future.”
