Augusta, Maine — In the first fundraising reports of the general election, Hannah Pingree quadrupled MAGA extremist Bobby Charles’ fundraising and raised eight times more than former Republican Chair Rick Bennett – a clear sign of grassroots support and momentum for the Democratic nominee.
Pingree now has more than four times more cash on hand than Charles and nine times more than Bennett.
KEY NUMBERS:
CASH ON HAND: Hannah Pingree has more than $860,000 cash on hand while Bobby Charles has $179,283, and Rick Bennett has just $94,191. Bobby Charles is also nearly $20,000 in debt.
FUNDRAISING: The fundraising gap is just as stark. Hannah raised more than $900,000 while Charles raised just $217,507 during the reporting period and Bennett brought in just $114,638.
Today’s numbers come on the heels of new UNH polling that shows Hannah with a commanding lead and ahead by 14% in a three way race.

Mainers are investing in Hannah because they know she’s the leader who will move Maine forward.”
Bennett’s weak fundraising comes as he faces growing scrutiny over his Super PAC being bankrolled by Paul LePage donors.
