Maine Democratic Party Announces Two Forums Ahead of U.S. Senate Primary

All Three Candidates Qualified for the Ballot are Confirmed to Attend

Augusta, Maine – Today, the Maine Democratic Party announced it will host two candidate forums ahead of the U.S. Senate primary on June 9. The Maine Democratic Party will host one forum in each Congressional District, offering voters across the state the opportunity to hear from the candidates for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. All three candidates qualified for the ballot are confirmed to attend. 

“We are proud to host these forums and give Maine Democrats an opportunity to come together and hear directly from the candidates about their campaigns and their vision for Maine,” said Devon Murphy-Anderson, Executive Director of the Maine Democratic Party. “Maine Democrats are mobilized, energized, and more determined than ever to vote out Susan Collins.” 

The forums will take place on: 

  • May 26th at 6 PM in the First Congressional District, specific location TBD
  • May 22nd at 6 PM in Bangor  

These forums will be open to press; venues and press details will be shared at a later date. Participation has been offered to every candidate who has qualified for the ballot. The Maine Democratic Party is neutral in primaries.
