Statement: Susan Collins Falls in Line, Backs Another Trump-Appointed Anti-Choice Judge

After offering “no regrets” on casting a decisive vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, Collins is again backing a GOP appointed anti-choice judge

Augusta, Maine – Today, Maine Democratic Party spokesperson Tommy Garcia released the following statement on Susan Collins voting to confirm Trump-appointed Whitney Hermandorfer to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit:

Just like when she made her decisive vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, today Susan Collins once again fell in line with her party and voted to confirm an anti-choice judge who poses a threat to women’s reproductive freedom. Voters will remember Collins’ record, and vote her out in 2026.”
