Augusta, Maine — JD Vance’s second trip to Maine this year puts Bobby Charles in a familiar bind. He built his campaign on praising Donald Trump. Now the question is whether he’ll campaign with Trump’s number two, even as the administration’s policies hurt Maine: raising costs, cutting health care, and attacking people’s freedoms.

Bobby Charles has shown unwavering loyalty to Trump. Charles even flew to DC this spring, where he spent decades as a DC lobbyist, to beg for Trump’s endorsement. He has fully embraced the Trump agenda, including his harmful budget bill, tariffs, and war in Iran.  

So will Bobby Charles show up for JD Vance and MAGA once again?

Either way, Maine Democrats won’t let Charles run from his MAGA record. Bobby Charles is the wannabe Trump of Maine — and Maine voters deserve to know it.
